Growing up my Dad always made sure to make Mother's Day special for my hard working Mom. She's the kind of Mom that thrived on energy of tiny little people growing and discovering the world around them. She made my childhood special, full of tradition and memories. This year in honor of my mother, a woman who loves fresh flowers, a good loaf of bread, the perfect snack, and of course a lover of all things chocolate, East Austin Culinary Studio is pleased to present its first (of many) pop-up!
We have carefully selected and curated our favorite florist, bread maker, caterer, and cake baker so you can confidently give mom the perfect gift.
Ready to meet our vendors?!
Jennifer from Wildly Cultivated: Jennifer is "committed to the American grown flower movement and source flowers from sustainable growers within the United States and in harmony with the botanical variety of the seasons. My work highlights the bounty of the season in loose, natural, garden-inspired arrangements. A little bit wild, but always thoughtfully composed."
My Mom would die of happiness waking up to a gorgeous arrangement of these bouquets!
We’re offering two options, a hand-tied wrapped bouquet as well as a medium vase arrangement. The hand-tied bouquet will be wrapped in paper, adorned with silk ribbon, and ready to be dropped in your own vase. The medium vase arrangement will be styled in a modern, matte ceramic vase.
Both options will be composed of a designer’s choice mix of seasonal Spring blooms in a soft pastel color palette.
Walter from Hello Bread: Walter is new and upcoming in the sourdough bread scene in Austin. Walter explains that slow-fermented sourdoughs are made from wild yeasts, hand mixed simply with stone-milled flour, salt, and water, and baked hot and bold in a home kitchen. The process spans two days, giving the wild microbes optimal time to start breaking down the complex grain cells. The resulting bread has a delightfully deep, faintly sour flavor, a compelling range of textures, and is easier to digest than the quick-breads you'll find at the supermarket.
What Mom doesn't want to wake up to a fresh loaf of these magical breads toasted and topped with fresh jam or avocado? I know I would so delighted to wake up to the smell of toasty sourdough bread and coffee brewing.
Walter will be selling the prefect Country Loaf.
Danaë from Feather's and Frosting: Danaë is proud to utilize local and organic ingredients that have been hand selected and tested for quality and taste. Her beautiful cakes are designed to have an artistic and airy vibe, free of preservatives and artificial flavors.
Her cakes not only look pretty, they taste fantastic, and Mom will love knowing they are made with local and wholesome ingredients.
She is offering:
Chocolate Hazelnut
Rasperberry Rose
Beth and Rafael from La Pera: Beth and Rafael's obsession is simple: vibrant Latin culture and cuisine paired with locally sourced ingredients. Beautiful, sustainable & delicious. Whether they are cooking a family style wedding dinner for 200, or plating dessert for 20, their goal is always the same: enjoy the moment, enjoy your company, but mostly, enjoy your meal!
Mom is going to love the Latin vibes found in La Pera's food.
